About Postminer

Helping people find the Nigerian postal code for the area they need.

Postminer is a free Nigerian postal-code finder built to give people a useful answer when an online form, delivery service, or money-transfer service asks for a postcode.

Why Postminer exists

The idea started after repeated situations where a Nigerian postcode was needed for a company address, a form, or an application, but finding the correct code for the actual area was harder than it should have been.

While working with companies in the United Kingdom, Postminer's founder saw how easy it could be to search for a postcode connected to a location. That raised a simple question: why should finding a Nigerian postcode feel so uncertain?

From 2024 through 2026, different versions of the idea were tested. Postminer came from that work: a focused tool for people who need a Nigerian postcode, not another page filled with unrelated information.

What Postminer does

You can use GPS, choose a place on the map, or search by State, Local Government Area, and area. Postminer then compares the available location evidence with its postcode records and shows the result it can support.

The service covers all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory. It is designed for ordinary tasks such as forms, deliveries, address details, and money-transfer services.

Who leads it

Postminer is led by its founder and CEO, Iyi Ade. The product is built around a practical standard: make the answer easy to find, explain the location clearly, and avoid presenting a postcode as certain when the available evidence does not support it.
